Position Overview:

The National Operations Deployment Manager will play a pivotal role in collaborating with various operational and business stakeholder groups to ensure the effective execution of strategic program goals. This position is crucial for facilitating requirement gathering and future state solution discussions to foster positive transformations within the impacted business teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a dedicated team focused on managing change, training, communication, and other essential implementation activities to guarantee successful pilot, deployment, and stabilization phases.
  • Engage with Operations both on-site and remotely, observing workflows and gathering feedback from employees affected by the changes.
  • Act as an advocate for Operations and other stakeholders, relaying their concerns back to the project team to influence future requirements and solution development.
  • Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) cycles, which may involve writing and executing test cases and assisting with technical deployment tasks.

Specific Accountabilities:

  • Establish and integrate best practices into the deployment framework.
  • Develop a comprehensive program deployment strategy for Operations and business functions, including resource management and end-to-end deployment activities.
  • Collaborate with other project teams to identify sequencing, synergies, and dependencies.
  • Coordinate with leadership to identify suitable implementation leads for requirement gathering and deployment activities.
  • Guide cross-functional teams to operationalize changes based on program deliverables, including new technologies and processes.
  • Oversee the cross-functional deployment team responsible for implementation activities throughout the preparation, execution, and stabilization phases.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Engage in various functional activities such as Training, Change Management, and Deployment Planning as dictated by each deployment.
  • Apply Change Management principles to devise innovative approaches for introducing changes.
  • Coordinate with relevant teams to secure necessary materials and tools for pilot, deployment, and stabilization phases.
  • Analyze business requirements to understand current versus future state changes and identify new solutions to business challenges.
  • Visit operational sites to gather insights on existing challenges and feedback on proposed solutions.
  • Maintain regular communication with operations regarding upcoming changes and status updates.
  • Utilize project management skills to develop actionable plans, ensuring realistic timelines and resource allocation.
  • Participate in UAT activities as required, including preparing and executing test cases and documenting defects.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bilingualism in French and English is preferred.
  • 5-7 years of operational experience, preferably at a management level.
  • 2-5 years of experience in national deployment of processes or technologies.
  • In-depth understanding of operational systems and processes.
  • Familiarity with Change Management methodologies; certification is an asset.
  • Experience in Project Management; PMP designation is a plus.
  • Lean/Six Sigma training (Green Belt preferred).
  • Post-secondary education is preferred.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently as well as in a team environment.
  • Strong leadership, project management, and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication abilities with a keen attention to detail.
  • Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends, as needed.
  • Able to address time-sensitive demands continuously.
