We are seeking a dedicated Spa Pool Operator to join our team.

Situated within the scenic grounds of the Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge, our Nordic Spa offers a unique indoor-outdoor experience designed for relaxation and connection with nature. Our philosophy is centered around wellness, inviting guests to unwind in a serene environment.

The experiences we provide are tailored to the individual needs of our guests. Your role as the Spa Pool Operator is essential in upholding this commitment. You will be responsible for ensuring a pristine environment and operating the pools, saunas, steam rooms, and outdoor areas, all while prioritizing guest safety and satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain a welcoming and clean environment across all areas, including pool decks and public spaces. Ensure the pool deck is safe and tidy by organizing furniture, towels, and other items. Follow daily cleaning schedules and checklists diligently. Conduct regular water quality tests and make necessary adjustments to meet health standards. Monitor the pool filtration system and report any issues promptly. Address minor maintenance tasks proactively to prevent larger problems. Log and report maintenance issues that require specialized attention. Keep outdoor pathways and green spaces clean and well-maintained. Complete assigned tasks efficiently and effectively, minimizing the need for follow-up. Ensure that all processes align with our commitment to guest tranquility. Foster a welcoming atmosphere through positive communication and interactions. Contribute to a collaborative work environment that values community and shared goals.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in spa or hotel maintenance is preferred. Must possess a current Certified Pool Operators (CPO) license. Knowledge of WHMIS and First Aid (including CPR) is required. Ability to handle pool chemicals safely and responsibly. Strong judgment regarding safety and guest experience. Comfortable with technology and eager to learn new skills.

Working Environment:

This role may require extended hours and weekend shifts to accommodate business needs. The position is set in a dynamic environment with frequent guest interaction. You will spend significant time outdoors, enjoying the fresh mountain air and natural surroundings.
