Job Title: Nordic Spa Pool Operator

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Nordic Spa Pool Operator to join our team at Pomeroy Kananaskis Mountain Lodge. As a key member of our spa team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional guest experiences by maintaining the cleanliness and safety of our pools, saunas, and steam rooms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure the pool deck and surrounding areas are safe and clean for guests.
  • Operate and maintain the pool filtration system, taking water samples and making adjustments as needed.
  • Complete daily cleaning schedules and maintenance tasks to prevent minor issues from becoming major problems.
  • Report and log any maintenance issues that require attention.
  • Clean and maintain outdoor walkways, pathways, and green spaces.
  • Support a collaborative workplace and contribute to a positive guest experience.

Requirements

  • Previous spa or hotel maintenance experience preferred.
  • Current Certified Pool Operators (CPO) license.
  • WHMIS, First Aid (including CPR) certification.
  • Able to lift, move, and handle pool chemicals responsibly.
  • Good judgment around safety and guest experience.
  • Comfortable with technology and open to new learning.

Working Conditions

This position may work long days and/or weekends to meet periodic upturns in business demands or meet deadlines. This position is set in a fast-paced environment, with high levels of interaction with guests, employees, and other stakeholders. This role will spend a considerable amount of time working outdoors in the fresh mountain air and weather.
