About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Tile Fitter to join our team at Manson Floor Covering Ltd. As a key member of our masonry team, you will be responsible for installing high-quality tile flooring and surfaces for our clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Prepare, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered with tile, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Mortar and Adhesive Application: Mix, apply, and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue, or other adhesives using hand trowels, ensuring a strong and durable bond.
  • Tile Installation: Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to the base, ensuring a level and even surface.
  • Tile Cutting and Fitting: Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, minimizing waste and ensuring a seamless finish.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and test installed tile surfaces to ensure they meet our high standards of quality and durability.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
  • Client Communication: Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs and preferences, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile fitting and installation.
  • Work Setting: Commercial and residential settings.
  • Supervision: 3-4 people.
