We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tile Fitter to join our team at Manson Floor Covering Ltd. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for installing high-quality tile flooring in commercial and residential settings.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and measure surfaces to be covered with tile, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
- Mix and apply adhesives, mortars, and other materials to create a strong and durable bond between the tile and the surface.
- Set tiles in place, applying pressure to ensure a secure fit, and align and straighten tiles to achieve a professional finish.
- Prepare and submit tenders and quotations for tile installation projects, taking into account materials, labor, and other costs.
- Cut and fit tiles around obstacles and openings using hand and power cutting tools, ensuring a seamless and polished finish.
- Supervise and instruct apprentices, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet the high standards of our company.
- Remove and replace cracked or damaged tiles, and cut, surface, polish, and install marble and granite as required.
- Estimate costs and materials for tile installation projects, ensuring accurate and efficient use of resources.
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in tile fitting or a related field.
- Commercial and residential tile installation experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Physical stamina to work at heights and in confined spaces.
- Commercial and residential tile installation projects.
- 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime as required.
- Permanent, full-time position.
- Work language: English.
