Job Summary

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Executive Head Chef - Culinary Operations to lead our kitchen operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Indian cuisine, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to maintain high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory to ensure efficient kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new cooking techniques and equipment training programs for our culinary staff.
  • Supervise and train specialist chefs, chefs, cooks, and other kitchen workers to achieve exceptional results.
  • Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food to meet our high standards.
  • Plan and prepare complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets, using seasonal ingredients and creative menus.
  • Ensure all kitchen staff adhere to health and safety protocols, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies, managing inventory levels and optimizing purchases.
  • Collaborate with our culinary team to develop innovative menus that showcase our expertise in Indian cuisine.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to improve staff performance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Culinary Arts or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in senior culinary roles, preferably in Indian cuisine.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
  • Detailed knowledge of food safety and sanitation procedures.

  • A competitive salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience.
