Job Title: Finance Product Owner - Strategic Business Partner

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a highly skilled Finance Product Owner to join our team. As a strategic business partner, you will be responsible for representing Finance Process owners in the sustainment and evolution of Finance processes and their supporting technologies.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of business rules for time management reporting and hands-on experience in SAP (ECC, SuccessFactors, S/4HANA, BPC, BW). They will also have experience in the development or assessment of accounting practices and controls, and preparation of financial and management reports.

The Finance Product Owner will be responsible for developing discrete and integrated business process flow diagrams and supporting process narrative documentation, evaluating Finance business process performance, and providing quantifiable opportunities to increase Finance's performance against defined objectives/maturity metrics/benchmarks.

The ideal candidate will have a 4-year university degree in engineering, information technology, data analytics, business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or similar, and a minimum of 6 years of relevant working experience. They will also have experience in a project management/consultative role and be familiar with the development of user stories, test cases, and backlog management.

As a Finance Product Owner, you will have the opportunity to work closely with finance operational staff to develop innovations and improvements in corporate FinTech, and coordinate special studies, analysis, compilations, and reporting on advances in corporate FinTech.
