Job Overview

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic and strategic Finance Product Owner to join our team. This role will represent Finance Process owners in the sustainment and evolution of Finance processes and their supporting technologies.

Key Accountabilities

  • Develop business process flow diagrams and supporting process narrative documentation.
  • Evaluate Finance business process performance and provide quantifiable opportunities to increase Finance's performance.
  • Lead business process re-engineering activities.
  • Assess and recommend new and emerging technology based on understanding of Finance Business Processes.
  • Manage the Finance Innovation product backlog.
  • Define performance metrics for Finance Product Enhancements.
  • Define Finance functional requirements for all Finance systems.
  • Mentor junior team members on Product Ownership and Agile Mindset.
  • Act as Product Owner on behalf of Finance in engagement with/support of IT Projects.

Education and Qualifications

  • 4-year university degree in engineering, information technology, data analytics, business administration, finance, accounting, economics, or similar.
  • MBA or other post-graduate technology degree preferred.
  • PMP and/or CPA certification preferred.
  • ITIL or other technology certifications preferred.
