About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Health Information Management Specialist to join our team at Réseau de santé Vitalité (employés sans congé maladies). As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of patient records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Classification and Coding: Assign classification and metadata codes to records, ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures.
  • Data Analysis: Abstract, assemble, and analyze clinical data and related demographic information from health records.
  • Record Management: Collect, code, cross-reference, and store health records and related information, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Information Systems: Operate information systems to maintain indexes for classification systems and to manage and retrieve health records information.
  • Statistics and Reporting: Prepare medical, social, and administrative statistics, and compile reports on activities within records management services.
Requirements
  • Certifications: Canadian Health Information Management Association (CHIMA) Certification.
  • Computer Skills: Proficiency in computer-assisted records management systems, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, and MS Windows.
  • Security and Safety: Ability to pass a criminal record check.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, judgment, and organized.
