The Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital's Speech-Language Pathology Department is dedicated to creating a supportive and inclusive work environment. As a Pediatric Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be part of a dynamic team that values patient-centered care and collaboration. This role involves assessing and treating children with complex communication needs in ambulatory clinics and treatment programs.

Description:

As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will provide clinical services independently and as part of a team, including external partners. Your responsibilities will include prevention, health promotion, identification, assessment, intervention, and case management. You will also participate in the planning, coordination, and delivery of rehabilitation services in collaboration with patients, families, healthcare professionals, and other partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and treat children with complex communication needs
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care
  • Supervise students and provide clinical guidance to other staff
  • Contribute to quality improvement, service integration, and program development

Required Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology. Active or eligible registration and practice permit with the Alberta College of Speech Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is an asset.
