Job DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled Senior Project Manager – Transportation Infrastructure to join our British Columbia Business Unit. In this role, you will lead the project management of transportation infrastructure projects of varying scope and complexity for municipal and provincial clients.
You will provide leadership to client projects, representing their best interests and achieving their strategic end goals. This includes being a trusted advisor to the client, applying your deep understanding of planning, design, construction, and operation of various transportation and civil infrastructure assets.
Key Responsibilities- Initiate, execute, monitor, and report on client projects, taking ownership of their close-out.
- Organize project teams towards a common goal, establishing levels of authority and lines of communication.
- Chair project and site meetings, identify and resolve project issues, and coordinate multiple stakeholders.
- Apply leadership and communication skills to bring together stakeholders and project teams.
- Mentor and develop assistant project managers and support staff as needed.
- A degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer designation (P.Eng) or equivalent.
- PMP designation is a definite asset and will be supported within one year of hire.
- At least 10 years of experience in consulting or public sector engineering, delivering transportation and other civil infrastructure projects for local and regional municipalities and provincial ministries.
- Previous leadership experience in capital and municipal planning for linear infrastructure development.
- Client-facing experience in delivering related projects.
- Experience managing the procurement of engineering, design, and construction services.
- Practical understanding of infrastructure planning and regulatory requirements.
- A track record of collaborating with and learning from Indigenous communities.
- Experience with design-build is a definite asset.
