Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada PSD Citywide Full time

About PSD Citywide

PSD Citywide is a leading provider of research, consulting services, and software solutions to the North American public sector market. With a strong presence in hundreds of municipalities, provincial/state, and federal government agencies, and private sector entities, we have established ourselves as an industry leader in enterprise asset management and financial budgeting for municipalities.

We are proud to offer cutting-edge software solutions tailored to our clients' asset management and financial budgeting needs, resulting in mature and manageable programs that positively impact local communities. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Management Specialist to join our Advisory Team on a full-time remote basis, with a focus on serving British Columbia, Canada.

The ideal candidate will possess a profound understanding of strategic asset management concepts, including long-term planning, needs assessments, and alignment with municipal goals. Emphasis will be placed on integrating sustainable service delivery and lifecycle planning for assets to meet community needs effectively.

A key aspect of this role is technical writing to clearly communicate complex asset data and findings. This involves translating data insights into actionable recommendations, supporting informed decision-making for stakeholders, councils, and the public.

Another critical responsibility will be integrating climate adaptation and mitigation strategies into asset management planning, which includes planning for climate impacts, assessing asset vulnerability to extreme weather, and incorporating resilience measures into lifecycle and risk management.

This position requires proficiency in drafting policies that promote sustainable asset management, including data governance, investment prioritization, and resource allocation. These policies will be designed to support long-term sustainability goals and ensure infrastructure aligns with organizational priorities.

A key challenge will be assessing and managing risks related to asset performance and failure, implementing risk-based prioritization methods to address vulnerabilities, reduce costs, and enhance the resilience of critical infrastructure.

The successful candidate will also demonstrate expertise in collecting, analyzing, and presenting asset data to support evidence-based decision-making. This includes generating insights from data trends, visualizing findings, and preparing reports tailored for various stakeholders.

Additionally, they will develop financial strategies to support sustainable asset management, including cost forecasting, budgeting, and identifying funding strategies suitable for long-term asset health.

Project planning and delivery will be a crucial aspect of this role, focusing on setting realistic timelines, allocating resources efficiently, and ensuring projects meet defined goals and budgets. Strong organizational skills and stakeholder management are essential for success in this position.

The candidate should have 5+ years of experience in managing, planning, implementation, and application of municipal asset management procedures, practices, tools, and techniques. A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, or Engineering Technologies diploma in Civil Engineering, Economics/Business degree, or a similar discipline is required.

Familiarity with internationally recognized frameworks and standards, such as ISO 55000, AMBC Framework, and InfraGuide, is necessary to ensure asset management practices align with industry standards while meeting compliance requirements.

Designation, OACETT certification, IAM Certification, and/or professional engineering designation would be considered an asset, as well as supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability to effectively facilitate complex asset management projects to high-level executives within the public sector is essential.

Skills in geographic information systems to analyze spatial data and map assets can be valuable in understanding asset distribution, environmental impact, and planning for future needs. Knowledge of Indigenous relations and community engagement can be invaluable for projects on traditional territories, supporting culturally sensitive planning and alignment with local values.

We encourage continuous learning through our Training & Development program, allowing employees to fully explore their interests and contribute to different product development teams at PSD. Remote work options, social, and charity events, and initiatives make us a great place to work. We are committed to ensuring equal access and participation for people with disabilities.
