Job Description

As a Shared Care Hemodialysis Registered Nurse with our organization, you will play a crucial role in teaching patients with chronic renal failure how to perform their hemodialysis treatments within a supportive environment. You will practice within the philosophy and guidelines of Alberta Kidney Care – North (AKC-N) to provide leadership, critical thinking, clinical judgment, assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Completion of an accredited nursing education program
  • Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP)
  • Strong hemodialysis knowledge base and ability to teach patients in all aspects of their treatment
