Job Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to join our team in Lunenburg. As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure they function efficiently and safely.

This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to accurately determine the layout and installation of electrical systems. You will install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers, conduct tests on electrical systems and equipment to verify their proper functionality, and troubleshoot any electrical issues, making necessary repairs or replacements.

A strong background in PLCs, instrumentation, and process control is essential for this position. Previous experience with identifying root causes and implementing corrective action is also beneficial. You must have a red seal certification and a minimum of 5 years industry experience.

Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems.
  • Install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers.
  • Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly.
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements.
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations.
Requirements
  • A red seal certification and a minimum of 5 years industry experience.
  • Previous experience with identifying root causes and implementing corrective action.
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, or standing for extended periods.
