Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Systems Specialist to join our team at High Liner Foods. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment to ensure they function efficiently and safely. This role involves reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to accurately determine the layout and installation of electrical systems. You will install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers, conduct tests on electrical systems and equipment to verify their proper functionality, and troubleshoot any electrical issues, making necessary repairs or replacements. Adherence to strict safety protocols and compliance with electrical codes and regulations is essential. Additionally, you will collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

Responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in an industrial setting
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams to determine the layout of electrical systems
  • Install electrical components such as switches, outlets, and circuit breakers
  • Test electrical systems and equipment to ensure they are functioning properly
  • Troubleshoot electrical issues and make necessary repairs or replacements
  • Follow safety protocols and adhere to electrical codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will have a red seal certification and a minimum of 5 years industry experience with a strong background in PLC's, instrumentation, and process control
  • Previous experience with identifying root causes and implementing corrective action
  • Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and circuitry
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Physical stamina to perform tasks that may require bending, lifting, or standing for extended periods
