**Job Summary**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Banking Leader to join our team at Meridian. As a key member of our Commercial Services department, you will be responsible for building and developing a portfolio of large commercial accounts, providing customized solutions to meet the unique needs of our Members.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Manage a portfolio of the largest and most complex commercial relationships with Members, with a focus on building long-term mutually beneficial relationships.
- Provide in-depth analysis and structure complex credit solutions, ensuring an appropriate return to the Credit Union.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with Members, partners, and community leaders to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Collaborate with Commercial Credit to negotiate and document complex credit and cash management arrangements.
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends and developments, and proactively assess and anticipate Member needs to suggest and recommend products and solutions.
**Requirements**
- University degree in Business or Finance or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of progressive commercial lending experience in sales/service and managing a diverse portfolio in a commercial banking environment.
- Developed sales management skills, with the ability to set sales goals, measure and monitor sales plans, and coach others on sales techniques.
- Strong knowledge of the commercial banking marketplace, key industries, and competitive positioning.
- Advanced knowledge of business lending policies, complex procedures, techniques, and documentation requirements.
- Superior origination, business development, relationship building, and portfolio management skills.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact at any level within the organization and in a business development capacity within the community.
