Director & Team Lead, Corporate Syndications (Hybrid)

Meridian is seeking an experienced Director & Team Lead, Corporate Syndications (Hybrid) to join our Business Banking team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and developing a portfolio of large commercial accounts, managing a team of Relationship Managers, and driving business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of large commercial accounts, with a focus on building long-term relationships and driving business growth.
- Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability, including identifying new business opportunities and developing plans to pursue them.
- Collaborate with other teams, including Commercial Credit and Risk Management, to ensure alignment and effective execution of business strategies.
- Stay up-to-date with market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes, and provide insights and recommendations to the leadership team.
- University degree in Business or Finance or related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial lending experience, with a focus on sales, service, and portfolio management.
- Proven experience and expertise in structuring, managing, and servicing large, syndicated real estate and construction financing deals.
- At least 3 years of leadership/management experience, with a proven ability to lead, manage, coach, and develop other professional commercial lenders.
- Strong sales management skills, with the ability to set sales goals, measure and monitor sales plans, and coach others on sales techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
