Director & Team Lead, Corporate Syndications (Hybrid)

Meridian is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director & Team Lead, Corporate Syndications to join our Business Banking team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for building and developing a portfolio of large commercial accounts, managing a team of Relationship Managers, and driving business growth and profitability.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a portfolio of the largest and most complex commercial accounts, providing exceptional service and ensuring timely and accurate credit decisions.
- Lead and manage a team of Relationship Managers, providing coaching, guidance, and development opportunities to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
- Develop and implement business strategies to drive growth and profitability, including identifying new business opportunities and building relationships with key stakeholders.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless execution of business plans and initiatives.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory requirements to ensure Meridian remains competitive and compliant.
- University degree in Business or Finance or related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 10 years of progressive commercial lending experience, with a proven track record of success in sales, service, and portfolio management.
- Proven experience and expertise in structuring, managing, and servicing large, syndicated real estate and construction financing deals.
- At least 3 years of leadership/management experience, with a proven ability to lead, manage, coach, and develop other professional commercial lenders.
- Strong sales management skills, with the ability to set sales goals, measure and monitor sales plans, and coach others on sales techniques.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
