Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused Hotel Front Desk Clerk to join our team at Best Western Hotel. As a key member of our front desk team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest service, managing room assignments, and ensuring a smooth check-in and check-out process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Guest Registration: Register arriving guests, assign rooms, and ensure accurate room assignments.
  • Group Arrivals and Departures: Process group arrivals and departures, including room assignments and billing.
  • Room Reservations: Take, cancel, and change room reservations as needed.
  • Guest Information: Provide information on hotel facilities and services, as well as points of interest in the area.
  • Departure Processing: Process guests' departures, calculate charges, and receive payments.
  • Cash Handling: Balance cash, complete balance sheets, and maintain accurate cash reports.
  • Inventory Management: Maintain an inventory of vacancies, reservations, and room assignments.
  • Emergency Procedures: Follow emergency and safety procedures as needed.
  • Clerical Duties: Perform various clerical tasks, including faxing, filing, and photocopying.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service, including answering telephone calls and relaying messages.
  • Special Needs: Assist guests with special needs, including contacting customers to deliver requested wake-up calls.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience is an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
