Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Counsel to join our growing legal team at Descartes Systems Group, a leading technology company in the Kitchener-Waterloo tech community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, as well as experience in M&A activities, multi-jurisdictional employment matters, and litigation management.

This is a fully remote position with an option to work from our headquarters in Waterloo. We offer a competitive salary of $125,000 - $175,000 per year, depending on experience.

Responsibilities
  • Drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, including IT procurement contracts, software licensing, SaaS agreements, e-commerce, hosting arrangements, SLAs, NDAs, professional services engagements, and contractor agreements.
  • Assisting in M&A activities, including post-closing integration.
  • Advising in multi-jurisdictional employment matters.
  • Negotiating leases, subleases, and real estate agreements.
  • Litigation management.
  • Assisting the Marketing Department with events and venue agreements, external advisors, contests, and insertion orders.
