About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Kitchen Assistant to join our team at East Side Mario's. As a key member of our food service team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Key Responsibilities
  • Food Preparation and Service
    • Prepare, heat, and finish simple food items to a high standard.
    • Portion and wrap foods for customers.
    • Serve customers at counters or buffet tables.
  • Kitchen Maintenance and Sanitation
    • Clean and sanitize kitchen equipment, work surfaces, and storage areas.
    • Handle and store cleaning products safely.
  • Inventory and Supply Management
    • Receive, unpack, and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards, and other storage areas.
    • Stock refrigerators and salad bars.
  • Customer Service
    • Take customers' orders and provide excellent customer service.
  • Teamwork and Communication
    • Work collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service.
    • Communicate effectively with colleagues and management.
Work Environment and Conditions

As a Kitchen Assistant at East Side Mario's, you can expect to work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. You will be required to stand for extended periods and work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • No degree, certificate, or diploma required.
    • Will train on the job.
  • Language
    • English is the primary language spoken in the workplace.
  • Work Hours
    • 30 to 40 hours per week.
