Griz Kids Centre Assistant Supervisor

Resorts of the Canadian Rockies Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to fill the full-time winter seasonal Griz Kids Centre Assistant Supervisor position at Fernie Alpine Resort.

The Griz Kids Centre offers combined indoor play and lesson packages for kids aged 3-5. Reporting to the Assistant Director of Snow School, the ideal candidate will be an excellent communicator and team player, strong customer service skills, and enjoy working in a fast-paced mountain environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of the childcare centre
  • Ensure compliance with licensing regulations and health and safety standards
  • Work in conjunction with Directors, manage financial aspects of operations including reporting, accounting procedures, and budgets
  • Manage staff scheduling and conducting performance evaluations
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities
  • Address and resolve any issues or concerns from parents or staff
  • Maintain accurate records, including attendance and incident reports
  • Play and engage with kids during indoor time
  • Responsible for making sure ratio targets are met

Requirements:

  • Early Childhood Educator certification (desired)
  • Previous childcare experience, including experience in a supervisory or managerial role
  • Strong understanding of child development and early childhood education
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Completed the 20-hour Responsible Adult Course (minimum requirement)
