A 40-year-old nationwide omnichannel supply chain company in the Toronto area seeks a seasoned Business Development Manager to lead its Enterprise Sales division.
About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced sales professional to join our team. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, designing and selling multiple channels, including dedicated distribution and transportation services, to targeted verticals.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through strategic partnerships and sales initiatives
- Develop and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and influencers in target markets
- Design and execute effective sales strategies to drive revenue growth
- Provide thought leadership and solutions to senior-level managers and executives
- Cross-sell services within the company's offering and collaborate with internal teams to deliver effective business solutions
- Stay up-to-date on industry trends, technologies, and best practices in warehouse management systems, inventory tracking systems, and transportation management tools
- Participate in industry events and provide content for thought leadership speeches and papers to increase vertical industry exposure
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a related field and/or a combination of 5-10 years of progressive logistics, supply chain sales, or business development experience
- Deep understanding of one or more industries: High Tech, Consumer Products, Life Sciences/Health Care, Industrial/Mfg., Retail/Food/Beverage
- Ability to think creatively and develop effective solutions that influence customer decision-making processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to travel 50-75% of the time

Salary Information
