At First Student Canada-Transco, we are seeking a highly skilled Benefits Coordinator to join our team. As a Benefits Coordinator, you will play a critical role in supporting our employees with their health and welfare plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Respond to employee inquiries and provide timely support with benefits-related matters.
  • Assist with the administration of state and company disability plans, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Perform routine audits and reviews of health and welfare plans to identify areas for improvement and ensure accuracy.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Payroll and Benefit Administration Center, to resolve benefits-related issues.
  • Act as a resource for colleagues, providing guidance and support on benefits-related matters.
  • Identify and recommend solutions to eligibility and pricing setup issues.
  • Review collective bargaining agreements to ensure benefits setup is accurate and compliant.
  • Perform specialized data requests and analyze data to identify key issues and patterns.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of experience in Employee Benefits functions, with a strong understanding of retirement plan administration and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills, with a focus on quality control and attention to detail.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel, including pivot tables and V lookups.
