Addiction Support Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Addiction Support Specialist to join our Mental Health and Substance Use team at the Lansdowne Centre in Kamloops, B.C.

Job DescriptionThe successful candidate will provide assessment, treatment, service coordination, and urgent response to clients experiencing substance use problems or disorders. They will function as a primary clinician utilizing various treatment modalities for individuals, groups, or families. Shift times are from 08:30 to 16:30 hours, Monday to Thursday.
Requirements- Bachelor's degree in Allied Health, Behavioural, or Social Science field relevant to the position.
- Two years' recent experience in an alcohol and drug treatment environment or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
- Current valid B.C. driver's license.
Lansdowne Centre is one of Interior Health's Mental Health Centres providing services such as adult community support, short-term assessment and treatment, residential programs, geriatric programs, crisis intervention, day programs, addictions counselling, and concurrent disorders services.
