About the Role

The Legal Editor - Content Specialist will play a crucial role in creating and classifying legal information, ensuring accuracy and quality in editorial materials.

  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of legal concepts and terminology.
  • Review and edit legal information created by other employees, authors, and freelancers.
  • Identify key legal issues in editorial materials and provide expert analysis.
  • Collaborate with multiple departments to ensure business aspects of publications are aligned with editorial standards.
  • Verify own work and that of colleagues and external contributors for accuracy, completeness, and quality.
  • Maintain and develop legal knowledge and skills training to stay current on legal trends and developments.
  • Participate in the employee evaluation process and provide feedback.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Juris Doctor (JD) degree and admission to a provincial bar.
  • Strong legal research skills with experience using Westlaw and other legal research tools.
  • Ability to interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize multiple projects, and meet deadlines.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and Adobe software.
