Operations Vice-President: Strategic Leadership and Management

We are seeking an experienced Operations Vice-President to join our team at the Government of Canada - Central. This is a key leadership position that requires a strong strategic thinker with excellent management skills.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement organizational policies and programs, allocating resources to achieve business objectives.
- Departmental Establishment: Authorize and organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff positions.
- Policy Formulation: Establish objectives for the organization and formulate or approve policies and programs.
- Representation: Represent the organization in negotiations or other official functions, delegating representatives as needed.
- Staff Selection: Select middle managers, directors, or other executive staff, delegating authority and creating optimal working conditions.
- Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews to ensure staff are meeting expectations.
- Financial and Administrative Controls: Establish financial and administrative controls, formulate promotional campaigns, and approve overall human resources planning.
- Leadership Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a leadership role.
- Work Setting: Business services and finance.
- Budgetary Responsibility: $1,500,001 - $4,000,000.
- Computer and Technology Knowledge: Proficient in MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, MS Windows, and MS Word.
- Area of Work Experience: Management.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, work under pressure, tight deadlines, attention to detail, and large workload.
- Personal Suitability: Accurate, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral communication, excellent written communication, judgement, and organized.
