We invite you to embark on an exciting journey with the Government of New Brunswick at Kings Landing, one of Canada's premier living history museums. As an HR Events Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the employee experience and driving business outcomes.

Compensation: $24,904 per annum (bi-weekly pay: $2,402)

About the Role:

You will be responsible for running the daily functions of the Human Resource department, including coaching, hiring, and interviewing staff, managing and administering pay, benefits, and leave, and enforcing company policies and practices.

To achieve this, you will:

  • Facilitate and improve internal communication across Kings Landing to ensure employees are familiar with the organization's mission, goals, policies, and expectations.
  • Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments.
  • Recruit, interview, and facilitate the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
  • Implement new hire orientation and employee recognition programs.
  • Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs, including compensation, benefits, and leave; performance and talent management; and training and development.
  • Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, employment law, employee retention, morale, recognition, productivity, and incentives.
  • Provide collaborative guidance and advice on integrated communication strategies to build employee morale, productivity, retention, and policy compliance.
  • Implement, conduct, facilitate, and/or analyze results of employee morale and retention initiatives such as incentive programs, stay interviews, career development meetings, employee surveys, and exit interviews.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

About You:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced HR professional who values exceeding work expectations and has a passion for delivering exceptional results. To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field.
  • Three years of professional-level experience in human resources.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A valid class 5 driver's license as issued by the Province of New Brunswick.
  • An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience may be considered.
  • Written and spoken competence in English is required.
