About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Fluids Engineering team at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories. As a Senior Manager, Fluids Engineering, you will be responsible for managing the resources and activities in support of our organization's missions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Management: Successfully execute projects and programs to meet customer requirements, including nuclear industry and Federal S&T.
  • Business Development: Execute the business for Branch focus area(s), contributing to the S&T vision and mission for CNL, S&T, and the directorate.
  • Leadership: Provide aspirational leadership for the branch, fostering integrated, productive, and meaningful relationships within and across directorates.
  • Operations: Ensure safe, secure, and compliant operations in the branch, encouraging and participating in laboratory walk-downs, and providing clear expectations to staff on providing input into, and following, worker safety tools and protocols.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree from a University of recognized standing; a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Fluids Engineering or related field is preferred.
  • Experience: 10 to 12 years technical project/process experience; A minimum of two (2) years in a technical, project, or management leadership role.
  • Skills: Passion for science, technology, and discovery; strong interpersonal skills in working with management and staff of the organization and building a team approach.
