Canadian Nuclear Laboratories (CNL) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Fluids Engineering Branch Manager to lead our team of experts in the development and implementation of innovative fluid technologies for decontamination and other applications.
Key Responsibilities:- Manage the resources and activities of the Fluids Engineering Branch to advance CNL's mission and priorities.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the scientific capabilities of the branch, including staff development, facility utilization, and equipment procurement.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the branch team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and excellence.
- Ensure safe, secure, and compliant operations within the branch, including laboratory walk-downs, safety oversight, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Bachelor's degree in Fluids Engineering or a related field; a Ph.D. or Master's degree is preferred.
- 10-12 years of technical project/process experience, with a minimum of 2 years in a technical, project, or management leadership role.
- Experience in innovation and program/project management, including management of people, processes, customers, and financial performance.
- Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster a team environment and build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex technical information to non-technical audiences.
