About the Job

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Hardwood Floor Installation Specialist to join our team at S-S Hardwood Floor Inc.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and measure surfaces to be covered with hardwood flooring
  • Measure, cut, and install carpeting and resilient floor coverings
  • Prepare and install hardwood floors, including inspecting and repairing damaged floor coverings
  • Conduct moisture, pH, temperature, and other tests prior to flooring installations
  • Remove existing floor coverings and contaminants, and prepare floors for installations
  • Install carpeting on walls or other surfaces, and employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting
  • Perform direct glue-down carpet installations and double-bond carpet installations
  • Install resilient stair components, including special effects for the visually impaired
Requirements
  • 7 months to less than 1 year of experience in the flooring industry
  • Ability to work in a physically demanding environment, handling heavy loads and bending, crouching, and kneeling
  • Basic security clearance and bondable
  • Client focus, organized, and ability to distinguish between colors and hand-eye coordination
Work Environment
