About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Floor Covering Installer to join our team at Trend Hardwood Floor. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest quality of workmanship and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surface Preparation: Inspect, measure, and mark surfaces to be covered, ensuring accurate and precise measurements.
  • Material Handling: Measure, cut, and fasten underlay and underpadding, as well as measure, cut, and install carpeting on floors.
  • Tendering and Quoting: Prepare and submit tenders and quotations to clients, providing detailed and accurate estimates.
  • Quality Control: Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings, ensuring a high level of quality and attention to detail.
  • Equipment Operation: Employ knee kickers and other equipment to stretch carpeting, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Physical Demands: Bending, crouching, and kneeling are required for this role, as well as the ability to lift and move heavy materials.
Personal Qualities and Suitability
  • Client Focus: Provide exceptional customer service and ensure client satisfaction.
  • Judgement and Decision-Making: Make sound judgements and decisions in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Organizational Skills: Prioritize tasks, manage time, and meet deadlines in a busy installation schedule.
Work Details
  • Work Term: Permanent position with a regular schedule.
  • Work Language: English is the primary language of communication in this role.
  • Hours of Work: 32 hours per week, with flexibility to meet the demands of the installation schedule.
