Salary

The anticipated salary for this position will be between $52,000 to $64,480, commensurate with experience.

About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and enthusiastic System Administrator Intern to support our IT Department. This 8 or 12-month internship will provide opportunities for professional growth and development in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Installation, configuration, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of systems and communications hardware, software, and related infrastructure;
  • Aiding in ensuring reliable and stable operation of on-site systems and communications using leading-edge technologies and software;
  • Participating in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure;
  • Gaining experience with enterprise-grade systems, including HyperV, Cisco unified communications, Windows Server, Microsoft O365, Sharepoint, Microsoft Azure, Exchange 2016/Exchange Online, ERP solutions, site security, CCTV video, collaboration/messaging solutions, amongst others.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Enrolled in a program with a Computer Science and/or Information Systems Technology focus;
  • Prior experience in industry-related fields or working knowledge of Microsoft suite of products (Active Directory, Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, Windows 10, Office, Office 365) is preferred;
  • Strong communication skills and customer service orientation are required;
  • Demonstrated problem-solving and root-cause determination skills are considered an asset;
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage numerous projects in a timely manner is essential;
  • Must have access to personal transportation and be eligible to drive in Canada;
  • Must provide proof of confirmation of valid educational requirements and transcripts.
