HR Business Partner Opportunity at Hatch

Hatch is a global leader in engineering, project delivery, and operations services. We are seeking a highly motivated HR Business Partner to join our team in Calgary, AB, Canada.

About the Role

The HR Business Partner will be responsible for providing strategic HR guidance and support to our business leaders and employees. This includes developing and implementing HR initiatives, providing coaching and training, and analyzing HR metrics to inform business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies that align with business objectives
  • Provide HR coaching and guidance to employees and managers on HR policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Develop and implement HR initiatives to improve employee engagement, retention, and development
  • Collaborate with the HR Service Centre to provide HR administrative support and ensure compliance with HR policies and procedures
  • Liaise with benefits team to provide advice on health, dental, and pension benefits, as well as leaves and retirement planning
  • Support employee onboarding, orientation, and development programs
  • Work closely with the mobility team on domestic and international assignments, transfers, and relocations
Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of work experience in HR as a generalist
  • High energy and ability to collaboratively work as part of a team
  • High level of computer proficiency in MS Office suite and HRIS
  • Ability to work effectively in a matrixed organization
  • Strong knowledge of HR regulations and practices
  • Demonstrated ability to provide practical recommendations to solve issues related to HR regulations, laws, and policies
  • Demonstrated knowledge of and experience in change management
  • Ability to develop and implement HR initiatives
  • Effective oral and written communication skills along with strong listening skills
  • Ability to communicate across all levels of the organization sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Ability to build and maintain lasting relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Excellent time and project management skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in all areas of work
  • Strong problem identification and resolution skills
  • Ability to interpret and implement company policies and procedures
