As a Corporate Events Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in planning, organizing, promoting, and executing virtual, hybrid, and in-person events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the planning, organization, promotion, and execution of corporate events
  • Work collaboratively with other areas of the college to assist in the planning, organization, management, and assessment of all aspects of the college events
  • Seek feedback following each event and research the ever-changing interests of Algonquin College employees
  • Prepare event reports detailing the evaluation and assessment of all respective events

You will be responsible for managing logistics, resource planning, innovation, idea sharing, and execution of events. This includes troubleshooting and recommending solutions to the manager.

Required Qualifications:
  • Valid G-class driver's license and access to a vehicle
  • Minimum 2-year diploma in Event Management, Public Relations, Communications, or Marketing
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and executing events
  • Experience in communications, supervising/leading a team, programming tracking, critical path development, measurement tools, high-profile events, digital events, and client-focused environments

This is a full-time support staff position, subject to the terms of the Full-Time Support Staff Collective Agreement. The salary range for this position is $36.25 per hour, and the anticipated start date is November 11, 2024.
