Fishing Industry Leader for Coastal Nations

Coastal Nations Fisheries is seeking a seasoned operational leader to drive forward its strategic priorities and support the efforts of eight First Nations in developing successful community-based fisheries.
The ideal candidate will have experience in creating collaborative partnerships with stakeholders, including governments, industry players, and First Nation communities. They will be comfortable presenting to and working with a seasoned board, chairing meetings, and providing well-thought-out reports.
A natural team builder, the successful candidate will create positive work cultures where skilled internal team members feel motivated and empowered to deliver on their responsibilities.
Responsibilities- Drive forward operational plans from the Strategic Plan and priorities related to Community-Based Fisheries, Commercial Fishing Enterprises, governance, ESG, the Trust, administration, and capacity.
- Report on progress and ensure board members are well-informed for board meetings and communication back to their respective nations.
- Champion enhanced relationship building through regular communication that fosters collaborative contribution and decision-making.
- A seasoned and respected business leader with experience in creating collaborative partnerships with stakeholders.
- Excellent financial management skills, including experience in managing budgets with proper reporting on spending.
- A systematic thinker able to understand how each piece of the puzzle works together.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects at the same time.
We offer a competitive salary ranging from $210k-$250k based on experience, with a performance-based bonus and 4 weeks' vacation. Our benefits package includes flexible work hours with a hybrid model consisting of ideally 3 days in the downtown office and 2 days from home.
