Job Description

At Cantrav, we are seeking an experienced Event Planner to join our team. As a key member of our events team, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing various corporate events, conferences, and meetings.

About the Role

We offer a competitive salary of $60,000 per year, depending on experience. This is a permanent position working 30 hours per week in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with our clients to plan and execute their events, ensuring seamless execution and exceeding client expectations.

Responsibilities
  • Administer revenues and expenditures related to events
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and develop marketing and communication plans
  • Develop financial procedures and solicit event donors
  • Arrange for shipping, receiving, and storage of event materials
  • Co-ordinate and monitor conference and meeting activities and attend to related details
  • Implement social programs, food and beverage, transportation, and other services
  • Plan and arrange for accommodation and transportation services
  • Plan schedules, goals, and objectives for events
  • Develop registration systems and information materials
  • Research and design special events programs
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • 1-2 years of experience in event planning or a related field
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
  • Familiarity with Google Docs, Adobe Photoshop, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Office, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
