Program Administrator, Arts and Culture

Job Summary
The City of Ottawa is seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to fill the role of Arts Program Administrator. This position will be responsible for the design, development, and execution of arts programs at multiple facilities and venues.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure and allocate resources, program venues, staff, volunteers, artists, and equipment
- Hire and supervise arts instructors or related program staff
- Create partnerships and secure grants, sponsorship, and/or marketing
- Develop and implement training programs for instructors and/or volunteers
Requirements
- College or university student enrolled in a related discipline (theatre, dance, music, visual, literary, media arts)
- Minimum 2 years of practicing and/or teaching experience in a related discipline
- Excellent knowledge of community centres and local arts community
- Strong knowledge of program design, development, and evaluation, as well as project management practices
- Excellent oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Language Requirement
Various language requirements, locations may require English only, French only, or bilingual competencies.
Police Record Check
The successful candidate will be required to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check with the Police Services detachment in their jurisdiction to the City of Ottawa's satisfaction.
