At Teranet Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Technical Systems Support Specialist to join our Application and Database Support Team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the availability and integrity of our critical application and database servers.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Windows Server operations, Linux, Azure Red Hat OpenShift, and experience with ITIL and ITSM foundation frameworks. Additionally, they should have a solid understanding of SQL Server, Service Now, Solarwinds, AppDynamics, and Control-M tools.

In this role, you will investigate incidents, perform root cause analysis, and implement technical enhancements and maintenance repairs corresponding to business requirements and design modifications. You will also prepare and maintain technical documentation for application support and manage production system change requests for patching and monitoring changes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure system availability to critical application and database servers through Incident and Problem investigation, root cause analysis and resolution.
  • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for application support.
  • Create and maintain application support scripts such as Startup/shutdown scripts etc.
  • Manage production system change requests for patching and monitoring changes etc.
  • Perform basic application testing for post promotion infrastructure changes.
  • Implementation and support of updated software applications in a production environment

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 2-4 years' experience in production support.
  • Experience and knowledge of Windows Server operations, Linux, Azure Red Hat OpenShift.
  • Understanding and experience of ITIL and ITSM foundation frameworks.
  • Desirable: Experience with SQL Server, Service Now, Solarwinds, AppDynamics, Control-M tools.

We offer a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $120,000 per year, commensurate with experience.
