AECOM is seeking a skilled Archaeological Field Technician to join our team in London, Ontario. As a key member of our archaeological team, you will participate in stages 2-4 archaeological assessments, conducting fieldwork in various weather conditions. This is a labor-intensive role that requires attention to detail, physical stamina, and a passion for learning.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct archaeological fieldwork, including test unit excavation and screening, in accordance with Ontario's Ministry of Citizenship and Multiculturalism guidelines.
- Participate in stage 2 pedestrian survey work, identifying new archaeological sites and collecting surface artifacts.
- Collaborate with experienced archaeologists to ensure accurate and thorough data collection.
- Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors to ensure smooth project execution.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to work in a team environment and follow instructions.
- Reliable transportation to and from assigned AECOM office or project meet spot.
- Valid Ontario driver's license (preferred).
