Senior Manager, Canadian Tax

At KPMG Canada, we're seeking a seasoned professional to join our team as a Senior Manager, Canadian Tax. As a key member of our tax planning team, you'll work closely with Partners to develop and implement tax strategies for our clients. Your expertise will enable you to direct the work of junior staff, ensuring accuracy and completeness in their work. Additionally, you'll research and prepare tax-planning strategies for our clients, taking the lead on tax return preparation.
Key Responsibilities- Lead client engagements and work closely with Partners on tax planning initiatives.
- Plan and organize teams for tax return preparation and conduct tax research.
- Review junior staff work for accuracy and completeness.
- Participate in the tax engagement team, servicing the planning and compliance needs of clients.
- Provide ongoing support and mentoring for staff professional development.
- Collaborate with other office members to attract new work to the firm.
- Minimum 5 years of tax experience in a public accounting firm.
- Professional accounting designation.
- Enrolled in or completed the In-Depth Tax course.
- Excellent people management skills.
- Highly motivated individual with a desire for growth.
- Excellent client service skills with the ability to understand clients' businesses.
- Dedication and motivation to achieve high standards of client service and professionalism.
- Emphasis on quality and adding value in client offerings and services.
- Strong project management and organizational skills.
- Effective management of conflicting demands and priorities.
- Ability to instill enthusiasm in others to achieve desired outcomes.
