Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective tax strategies and planning assignments, working closely with partners and senior staff to drive business growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Leading tax planning and compliance projects, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of results
  • Managing a portfolio of tax services clients, providing exceptional customer service and building strong relationships
  • Reviewing and analyzing tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
  • Developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships with clients, providing strategic guidance and support
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive business growth and improve operational efficiency
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in public practice accounting, with a strong background in tax planning and compliance
  • At least two years in a tax specialty role, with a proven track record of delivering results
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, mentor and develop others to build high-performing teams
  • Business development skills, with a strong understanding of market trends and competitor activity
