Key Responsibilities:

We are seeking a highly skilled Tax Manager to join our team at Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative. As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective tax strategies and planning assignments, working closely with partners and senior staff to drive business growth.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Performing technical research and developing tax plan recommendations
  • Managing a portfolio of tax services clients and reviewing tax returns and other tax work prepared by staff
  • Identifying and cultivating new sales and/or client service opportunities
  • Managing engagement financials, including budgets, WIP, variances, and billing
  • Mentoring, training, and developing staff to build high-performing teams
Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Experience working in public practice accounting, with at least two years in a tax specialty role
  • Demonstrated experience developing and maintaining trusted advisor relationships
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, mentor, and develop others
  • Business development skills, with a proven track record of driving growth and revenue
