About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hotel Operations Supervisor to join our team at Comfort Inn & Suites, Terrace. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our hotel, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, and leading a team of staff to achieve our goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Supervision: Lead and manage a team of 1 to 2 staff members, providing guidance, support, and coaching to ensure they have the skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
  • Guest Services: Assist guests with special needs, ensuring their stay is comfortable and enjoyable.
  • Operations Management: Coordinate, assign, and review work to ensure efficient operation of the hotel, including managing computer systems, equipment, and arranging repair work as needed.
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and develop staff in job duties, safety procedures, and company policies.
  • Materials and Supplies: Requisition materials and supplies as needed to maintain a well-stocked and efficient operation.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Work Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Work Setting: Hotel, motel, resort.
  • Physical Capabilities: Standing for extended periods, working in a fast-paced environment, and working under pressure.
  • Personal Suitability: Accurate, client-focused, dependable, efficient interpersonal skills, excellent oral and written communication, flexibility, initiative, interpersonal awareness, judgement, organized, and a team player.
