We are seeking a highly skilled Corporate Function Compliance Officer to join our team at the Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce. As a key member of our compliance team, you will be responsible for executing oversight activities and serving as a subject matter expert for specific regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities:- Conduct compliance risk assessments and analyze regulatory developments to identify potential risks and opportunities.
- Manage compliance deficiencies and control testing gaps within assigned business and functional units.
- Provide compliance advisory services to business units to ensure processes and mitigations are in place to address regulatory compliance risk.
- Develop and maintain relationships with oversight functions, line of business leaders, and other stakeholders to ensure effective oversight processes are in place.
- Strong knowledge and experience in regulatory compliance management activities, including monitoring regulatory changes, identifying key requirements, and performing risk assessments.
- Extensive working experience in the analysis, interpretation, and implementation of regulatory requirements in the areas of treasury, taxation, controllership, and financial reporting.
- Knowledge of internal control frameworks, risk frameworks, and regulatory environments applicable to financial institutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and non-routine environment, both independently and within a team setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels.
