About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Technical Manager to lead our engineering team in delivering complex nuclear projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical oversight and guidance to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliverables.
  • Manage and mitigate project risks, including technical, schedule, and budget risks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Lead and develop engineering teams to achieve project goals and objectives.
  • Communicate project status and progress to stakeholders, including clients, management, and team members.
Requirements
  • Engineering degree in a core discipline (Mechanical, Chemical, Civil, Electrical) from an accredited University.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in a Province of Canada (member in good standing).
  • 10 years of design experience in their core engineering discipline in a heavy industry project delivery environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Minimum 3 years of nuclear and/or CANDU technology experience.
  • Experience managing multi-disciplinary work with significant stakeholder interface requirements.
  • Experience managing and/or performing work under nuclear quality management systems such as CSA N286, CSA N299.
  • Working knowledge of station modification procedures.
  • Working knowledge of nuclear and industry codes and standards in their core engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrated business acumen.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to travel to and potentially work at project sites.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a nuclear facility licensed in Canada.
  • Held nuclear station design / engineering qualifications.
  • Working knowledge of the nuclear regulatory framework.
