Job Title: Executive Pastry Chef
About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Executive Pastry Chef to join our team at Minami Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for creating innovative and delicious pastry dishes that exceed our customers' expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate records of food costs, consumption, sales, and inventory.
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to our cooking staff.
- Create new recipes that showcase our culinary expertise.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food.
- Prepare and cook complete meals and specialty foods for events such as banquets.
- Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service.
- Plan and direct food preparation and cooking activities for multiple restaurants.
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
Requirements:
- Cook Trade Certification.
- Food Safety Certificate.
- Experience in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
