Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced HR Generalist to join our team at Samsung. As an HR Generalist, you will play a key role in supporting various strategic HR programs, policies, and talent development initiatives. This is a 14-month maternity leave coverage opportunity that will report to the Director, People Team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide human resources guidance and partnership to leaders, focusing on talent development and employee engagement.
  • Support the development and implementation of HR programs, policies, and procedures that align with business objectives.
  • Collaborate with the People Team Director to create and execute program initiatives that drive business results.
  • Manage special projects as assigned, including learning and development enhancements and employee relations initiatives.
  • Support the People Team with internal and external events, ensuring a positive and engaging experience for employees.

Requirements

  • 5 years of progressive experience in human resources, with at least 3 years of prior experience as an HR Business Partner or Generalist supporting technical teams.
  • Bachelor's degree specializing in Human Resources Management.
  • CPHR designation is an asset.
  • Experience in the area of Learning & Development is an asset.
  • Strong communication, leadership, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills, with proven skills in communication, relationship-building, and influencing best practices.
  • Ability to handle strictly confidential information.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
