About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Business Partner to join our team at Western Coast Insurance Services. As a key member of our Human Resources team, you will play a critical role in supporting our business leaders and employees in achieving our company's goals and objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with business leaders to provide strategic HR support and guidance on people management, employee relations, and performance objectives.
  • Develop and implement HR strategies to support the development, engagement, and retention of employees.
  • Collaborate with the HR team to inform business issues and priorities, and help formulate solutions to ensure effective HR service delivery.
  • Conduct workplace investigations and provide support to employees and managers.
  • Lead and assist in special projects as identified by HR goals or business initiatives.
Requirements
  • 3-5 years of progressive Human Resource experience, with 2-3 years of direct HR Business Partner or HR advising/consulting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Standards/Labour Law, Change Management, Employee Relations, Performance Improvement, and Resource Planning.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the development and administration of large-scale projects, HR policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Experience in supporting engagement programs and partnering in survey design and implementation an asset.
  • Demonstrated understanding and adherence to strict confidentiality and privacy while displaying sound judgment always.
  • Excellent attention to detail; must demonstrate a sense of urgency and deliver quality outcomes.
  • Post-secondary education in a related discipline, Certified Professional Human Resources (CPHR) designation an asset.
