About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Claims Representative to join our team at Intact Financial Corporation. As a Claims Representative, you will play a critical role in handling claims from start to finish, ensuring that our customers receive fair and timely resolutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze information from insureds, witnesses, and other stakeholders to determine the validity of claims.
- Conduct thorough investigations to assess damage and determine liability.
- Settle claims in a fair and equitable manner, taking into account the needs and circumstances of our customers.
- Communicate with customers throughout the claims process, providing updates and explanations in a clear and concise manner.
- Work collaboratively with other teams, such as underwriting and customer service, to ensure seamless claims handling.
Requirements
- College diploma or higher level of education OR three years of full-time experience in a related field.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make sound judgments.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Proficiency in computer systems and software, including claims management systems.
